Bereavement Managers

Hospice Bereavement Manager / Coordinator Training (4)

Description
7-hours of continuing education. Certificate with hours awarded after completion of course. You must submit the coursework and certificate to your respective boards when renewing. Our training is appropriate for Hospice Bereavement Manager's and/or Coordinators to help support end-of-life patients/families/caregivers.

Taught from leading industry experts. This training is appropriate for bereavement managers/coordinators wanting to understand more about starting, maintaining and improving your bereavement program.

Objective:The purpose of this education activity is to enhance the knowledge of the Bereavement Manager/Coordinator in the area of end-of-life & palliative care by addressing excellence in hospice services, standards and ethical practices in an effort to promote quality, compassionate care for the terminally ill and their families as evidenced by participant post-test scores & course evaluations.

Many bereavement managers/coordinators often have received little training specific to care of the dying or working in an Interdisciplinary Clinical Team. TNMHPO formed a Bereavement Coordinator Advisory Group (BCAG) to dialogue with medical professionals and hospice bereavement coordinators, conduct surveys, and to research the needs for improving bereavement care to patients.

In response to the identified needs and concerns, we are pleased to provide you with Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization’s special “Bereavement Coordinator’s Training”. These specialized topics will focus on the needs particular to Hospice bereavement managers/coordinators and the challenges of the job.
